World travel and a passion for new experiences fuel my desire to create meaningful designs.

I’m a visual designer specializing in UX/UI and graphic design based in the San Francisco Bay Area. I've been lucky enough to explore different regions across the globe, and it's given me a wider perspective on the richness and diversity of our world. From a young age, I've learned to immerse myself in different cultures, which has sparked a strong curiosity to step out of my comfort zone to explore places I’ve never been to before. I believe that my travels have played a significant reason in developing my open-mindedness and empathy, two qualities that have contributed to my growth as a designer.

While I have always had a passion for creativity, my journey with design was shaped by my time in UC Berkeley’s UX/UI program, my internship as a graphic design assistant at a local public agency, and my undergraduate studies in Visual Communications at SF State. The latter of which allowed me to immerse myself in the integration of design and technology.

I have experience using software, like Adobe Creative Cloud and Figma, to create various assets for projects presented to my stakeholders. I’ve collaborated on teams to develop prototypes for mobile apps, rebrand an education program, and design collateral for public distribution. Through these experiences, I have learned to be mindful of the balance between aesthetics and functionality. My goal is to make design decisions that enable all users to intuitively navigate or interact with interfaces and products with ease.

I love connecting with users throughout the design process, whether through interviews or usability testing. In one of my earliest UX design projects in 2021, my project partner and I sought out users who would benefit from our proposed mobile app. That first experience of building rapport while gathering valuable feedback from users who generously gave their time to us was extremely fulfilling and it became the foundation for my approach to design. It motivated me to want to create products that truly make a difference in people’s lives.

A little bit about who I am outside of design.

Spending time with my friends and family is what I value the most. When I can do so as I experience new things, whether it’s through travel or something as small as discovering new local places to eat, all the better.

In my day-to-day life, however, I like to unwind by getting lost in video game worlds. I have a lot of respect for how games transform art into a fully immersive experience and have surrounded myself with friends who appreciate it as much as I do. At the same time, spending time with my fur babies — Miso, Mogu, and Boomi — is just as important to me while I’m home.
